Angela Chaisson
Angela Chaisson is a renowned lawyer. She has been counsel in some of Toronto’s highest profile cases including litigation involving various politicians, political parties, and media personalities. She has litigated before the Superior Court, Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Appeal, the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Supreme Court of Canada. Angela’s peers recognize her as a leading expert in progressive legal work. She is a regular lecturer at the University of Toronto,
Osgoode Hall Law School, Out on Bay Street, and is frequently asked to speak to young lawyers on legal issues and the keys to a successful legal practice. She is an active member of the National Association of Women and the Law, and the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund. Angela is also a pro-bono case review counsel for the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted and volunteer counsel with the HIV/AIDS legal clinic. Angela regularly publishes book chapters and case commentaries on issues of substantive equality.
